Auszug aus dem Post-Match-Interview mit Anabel und Tommy:

The great thing is that you have played some great tennis and you’ve done it with a smile as well. Enjoy celebrating the week, it has been a great one for you and we’ve loved having you here. Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna from India. Tommy and Anabel, first and foremost I’m going to talk about tennis before entertainment. Tennis from you (Robredo) and entertainment from you (Medina Garrigues) Okay tennis from you Tommy. You’ve got one diamond encrusted tennis ball. You said that you wanted to get another one. What chance do you think you have in the final?

(Robredo) I think that everyone in a final has a chance. I’m going to try to use my tennis to win and then hopefully Anabel like she did today in her singles match and them we will see how it goes.

Well Anabel, Tommy said I’ve been here before and I like these tennis balls. You’re a chance to win one now. How happy were you with the way you played the singles?

(Medina Garrigues) I am very happy to be in the final. We want to try to play our best. If we win I would be very happy.

I wanted to ask you about one thing. You both did a little dance after your singles match tonight. A little jig

(Medina Garrigues) You want to see?

Well I was thinking.. You want to do one now? I think you should do a little flamenco number. Flamenco tomorrow night if you win?

(Medina Garrigues) Yes everything tomorrow night if we win.

You are having a great time.

(Medina Garrigues) I did my dancing in front of 10,000 people and Tommy only danced in front of 500 people. We have to make him dance again.

Do you think we can get Tommy to dance again? A lot of people didn’t see that out on court 1. Tommy, Tommy, Tommy, Tommy, Tommy… Maybe tomorrow night.

(Robredo) She is the one that makes the jokes, then she is the one who has to take care of that and then tomorrow after her singles we hope she is going to win and she is going to dance for us. And if I win another diamond ball then maybe we may dance together but only if we win. Me, I have my prestige. I am a quiet person. I’m shy. I cannot dance. If I dance then my reputation goes away.

Tommy, der bereits einmal den Hopman Cup gewinnen konnte (2002 an der Seite von Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario) ist der Meinung, dass jedes Team, das das Finale erreicht, auch Chancen auf den Titel habe. Er hofft, dass Anabel und er genau wie heute ihr bestes Tennis zeigen werden. Anabel schließt sich dem an und würde sich sehr freuen, den Cup zu gewinnen.
Die beiden wurde auf ihre kleinen Freudentänze nach ihren Siegen gegen Sania Mirza und Rohan Bopanna angesprochen und gefragt, ob sie und Tommy dies in Form einer Flamenco-Einlage wiederholen würden, insbesondere da Tommys Tanzeinlage vor deutlich weniger Zuschauern stattfand als Anabels.
Tommy meinte hierzu nur:

"Sie ist diejenige, die die Witze macht und dementsprechend auch morgen dafür verantwortlich. Wenn sie morgen hoffentlich ihr Einzel gewinnt, wird sie auch wieder für uns tanzen. Und wenn ich noch einen Diamond Ball gewinnen sollte, dann tanzen wir vielleicht auch zusammen. Aber nur, wenn wir gewinnen. Ich habe nämlich ein gewisses Ansehen. Ich bin ein stiller Mensch. Ich bin schüchtern. Ich kann nicht tanzen. Wenn ich tanze, verliere ich meine Reputation."
